Temporary support for room additions & remodeling projects, with the strength to support large appliances.
Akron Big Moe Heavy Duty Floor Jack is designed for heavy load areas:
- 11 gauge inside/outside high carbon steel tubes
- Heavy gauge steel plates
- Double carriage bolt design for added safety
- Corrosion-resistant coating inside & out
- Zinc-coated secure bolt/nut connectors
- Adjustment range from 4’ 8” to 8’ 4”
OPERATION:
1. Place flat side of one plate on footing. Put large diameter post on plate with holes on top. Make sure post is exactly vertical and is centered under the beam.
2. Insert small diameter post inside large post. For maximum height, position small diameter post with holes at bottom. Reverse for shorter applications.
3. Turn round nut to top of threads on adjustment screw. Place adjustment screw on top of small diameter post. Tapered side of nut will fit into small diameter post with the shoulder resting on top of post.
4. Lift small diameter post to highest possible position. Align holes in posts. Place two bolts through holes and secure with nuts.
5. Place plate on top of screw with flat side up. Use adjustable wrench to complete adjustment.
SAFETY:
MAKE SURE POST IS EXACTLY VERTICAL. Secure plates with proper nails, screws, or bolts.
For best support under wooden structures place large diameter tube and plate directly under beam. To correct sagging floors, place beam under joists, hold in place with two Floor Jacks. Adjust floor jacks one-half turn each week over several weeks. Telescoping jacks should be used for additional support, not the primary means of support. When used in a lifting application, consult a licensed engineer to determine safe allowable load.
LOAN NOTES:
This is only a temporary support.
