Detail Sanders

The detail sander is a triangular orbital sander designed to get into fine edges and around tight corners. Great for furniture or any job with hard to reach places.

Uses:

  • Add luster to a metal surface. The use of a sander can make dark-colored metals rejuvenate and shine. Be careful not to use too rough sandpaper to avoid leaving scratches on the metal surface.

  • Avoid debris on wood If there are fragments on a wood handle, splinters will cause pain in the palm. Polishing it with a mouse sander will make the surface of the wood smooth, which is more convenient to use.

  • Remove varnish from old furniture. Over time, the varnish on wooden furniture will leave marks and discoloration. Using a sander can help you remove the old varnish and clean up the debris on the surface so that you can repaint and give the furniture a new look.

  • Remove ugly rust. Over time, many furniture and gardening tools will rust. You can easily sand off these rust with a sander, and then apply oil or varnish to the surface to prevent rusting in the future.

Safety:

  • Always ensure that the tool is switched off or disconnected from the power supply before you attach the sandpaper, or fit or remove the dust canister.

  • Wear appropriate eye protection; a dust mask is also a good idea.

  • Keep loose clothing and jewelry away from moving parts.

  • Make sure the item you’re sanding is properly secured.

  • Check that the ventilation slots of the sander are clear of dust and debris before you begin.

  • Never attempt to sand lead-based paint as this can lead to lead poisoning.

  • Apply gentle pressure when using the sander; being heavy-handed can lead to mistakes.

  • Metal parts of the sander may become hot during use, so take care when handling.

  • Always unplug when not in use, and store your detail sander somewhere dry and frost-free.
